Getting to take Oliver’s 1 year old photos was so special for me! Not only is he absolutely adorable, he is also pretty much my nephew since I grew up with his wonderful mom! (Still trying to decide if I want to be called Aunt Steph or Aunt Stephanie). This was also my first cake smash session and it was extremely fun! It didn’t go quite as planned since Oli decided he would much prefer to stand up and have dad hand him the cake! But we definitely got some great smiles and a model pose or two in the process!

Being 1 is tough. First, people ask you to stare at a small circle and smile a whole bunch, then they set you in front of this blue thing that gets all over you. I suppose it can’t be that bad after you realize that the blue thing actually tastes really good when dad makes you eat it!
